Role Overview

WFS is expanding into MSME financing, a new revenue stream. This role exists to create, structure, and launch a profitable MSME financing product from scratch, including unit economics, risk rules, and operational flow, so that once live, a business lead can scale it.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end MSME financing product: underwriting rules, credit limits, pricing, tenure, and repayment models
  • Define unit economics & contribution margin targets for the product
  • Collaborate with Sharia, Tech & Ops to build systems and flows for loan origination, disbursement, and collections
  • Work with Sharia, Risk & Compliance to embed credit & regulatory safeguards
  • Conduct market research to identify MSME needs, competitors, and viable segments
  • Build dashboard & metrics framework to track P&L, disbursements, collections, and defaults
  • Ensure go-live readiness, including pilot testing, partner integration, and operational SOPs 

Ideal Profile

  • 2–5 years experience in fintech product design, lending, or MSME finance
  • Hands-on in building products end-to-end (from concept to go-live)
  • Strong understanding of unit economics, credit risk, and collections flow
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally (Tech, Ops, Risk, Finance)
  • Execution-focused, able to deliver under tight timelines

Short-Term KPIs (0–90 / 180 Days)

  • Complete end-to-end product design (pricing, credit rules, operational flow)
  • Conduct pilot test with X MSMEs and document learnings
  • Build ready-to-launch dashboards & reporting framework
  • Ensure product is regulatory & Shariah compliant
  • Define unit economics to ensure positive contribution margin at launch

Long-Term KPIs (6–18 Months)

  • Product live with first disbursements to MSMEs
  • Achieve initial portfolio quality targets (default rate ≤ X%)
  • Provide repeatable SOPs & playbooks for business lead to scale
  • Support integration with digital channels, payment partners, and collections
  • Deliver product within planned timeline & budget
